About Us: Learn More About Our Company and Mission

About Homestar

Our clients know us as an immensely passionate full-service home remodeling firm that won’t rest until they’re satisfied. We’ve been featured in books, magazines, and on HGTV. What we truly pride ourselves on, however, is our ability to work within our client’s budgets. It takes a competent contractor working in your best interests in order to deliver magazine-quality remodels at affordable prices, and we’re happy to be just that.

Homestar was founded by John Borcherding in 2001, who had already worked within the home remodeling industry for close to two decades prior to going into business for himself. Today, he boasts close to four decades of remodeling experience that he leverages to create the most exquisite spaces for his clients. He mentored his son Thomas Borcherding from a young age, a fourth-generation St. Louisan who possesses the same amount of passion for residential remodeling as his father.

Together, John & Thomas seek to grow and lead Homestar in a manner that allows their unwavering demand for quality and affordability to persist. If you reside within the St. Louis area and are thinking about remodeling your home, we strongly encourage you to reach out to us in order to achieve the level of quality and cost-effectiveness that only comes by working with a local, family-owned remodeling company.
